We had a lovely relaxing time at Les Noyers - a home from home as it is so well equipped. We would need to stay there for a couple of years to get through all the library of books.

We had unbroken, fine, warm weather all the time we were there, but it was good to have some shade to sit in the garden with its wonderful views.

As we had no rain at all for the duration of our stay, we enjoyed walking in the lovely countryside with its gentle rolling hills. We saw deer, red squirrels, owls and bats. At night there was stargazing, with no light pollution.

Les Noyers is a splendid retreat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our month-long holiday at your homes in Morocco, over Christmas; and in France, for the New Year.

The Riad in Marrakech was fabulous and authentic. Our kids (22, 28 and 29) had no knowledge at all about Marrakesh and couldn't stop talking about it and the Medina for the first few days. They had all come over from London so the weather (average of 25 degrees most days) was very welcome also.

Abdellah was helpful and unobtrusive at all times (and made me many many pots of mint tea). We included him in everything we could as he got on really well with our kids and was close in age to them.

I was unsure about the Christmas present with him being Muslim, but decided to go with it and hoped for the best.

Our girls always need a Christmas tree and have many varied sorts, but a lemon tree in a pot was a first.

It was great to have the house in France warm for our arrival and it was clean and well presented. The bottle of wine was very much appreciated also. The house was very liveable and the kitchen very useable. We bought produce from the local markets and did some cooking as well as going to the local restaurants which were all good.

The bedroom with the bi-fold doors has a spectacular view. We opened the shutters when we woke then proceeded to enjoy the sunrises while we had breakfast in bed. We only had a couple of foggy mornings and rain on one day (this was December!) The temperatures varied from 6 on the coldest day to an average of 10 to 12 on most days so the weather was really good.

All in all, we both enjoyed our holiday immensely.

"We had a most enjoyable time at Les Noyers - arrived in 40c and it kept sunny and dry, with one exciting storm, and only one wetish day. The views are stunning and the accomodation and facilities excellent - your web site does not do it justice. We used the bicycles, had a local chicken, visited some vineyards and local towns and sites - altogether an excellent holiday."

Les Noyers is the first gite to live up to our personal expectations. We really enjoyed our time there.

The rural situation and aspect are superb, just what we needed for a peaceful holiday and some R&R. The countryside in Gers reminds us of our own Yorkshire Dales, but sooooo much more acres of it. The local villages and towns with all the history still there to see and enjoy, the wine and food, lovely.

The only problem is, for us to try and make some time to enjoy it again !!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Les Noyers. We have come home with loads of walnuts, and cycled all over doing 30 or so miles each day. It really is perfect cycling country.

What a really lovely place you have. Thanks for sharing it.
