What's the house like?

Les Noyers (named after the walnut tree in the garden) is a very quiet, south facing, single story, stone-built house with spectacular long-distance views. It is situated in a very peaceful small hamlet immediately adjacent to an equally tranquil, unspoilt small village.

It has two bedrooms, each with double beds. One of the bedrooms has a connecting bathroom and large shower. Off the boot room there is a sink, second shower and lavatory. There is also a washing machine. Next to the new kitchen/dining area there is a sitting room, with a hi-fi and record player for vinyl disks, and a selection of books. There is a CD player in the kitchen and a wood-burning fire/stove.

Electric wall heaters are in every room. There is no television.

By using the put-u-up sofa in the sitting room it sleeps six.

Garden table and chairs, loungers, parasol, two bicycles and also a charcoal bar-b-q are provided.

The house has been fully renovated, with entirely new heating, plumbing and electric circuits throughout.

Parking for 2-3 cars is provided.

What about phones and internet?

Free wifi is available in the house.

Mobile (or cell) phones work from inside the house, although reception is sometimes better outside. Check with your service provider before arriving at the house that it has international call barring removed so you can make/receive calls and SMS's.

There is a public phone box in the village. No coins. A France Telecom or other card is necessary, enabling direct dialling.
